Pelican Lake is only a few miles from the cabin on asphalt roads. The public access is extremely well maintained and is right in the town of Orr off Hwy 53. Pelican is one of the top walleye fishing lakes in Northern Minnesota.
Lake Vermillion is the longest lake in the Arrowhead. The western public access is close by, less than 20 minutes. Even though the lake is the most populated lake with many cabins, the lake is so big and meandering and the fishing is so tremendous, you don’t want to miss fishing it.
Elbow Lake is on of the remotest lakes near the cabin. It is officially cited as being in Gheen, but the road to the public access is a little longer than Pelican and Vermilion and has a couple miles of gravel road.
