Forest Hunting

Deep Forest Hunting at its Best.

Hunting from the cabin is stress-free. Leave the cabin and walk west on Hoodoo Road for less than a tenth of a mile and you are on public State and National Forest.  You are surrounded by old meadows and recent clear cuts, miles of forest roads and trails, Beaver ponds, old-growth White Pine, mature Red Pine plantation plots, old and young Aspen (“Popple”) and mossy Spruce swamps.  There are Deer, Bear, Moose, Coyotes and Wolves. Ruffed and Spruce grouse warm themselves on the trails in the morning. You will likely wander into a flock of wild turkeys or a Hen followed by a score of her Jakes and Jennys.  Snowshoe rabbits are often abundant.  Duck and Goose spots are also abundant.  The experience around the cabin is true forest hunt and stalk hunting.
